12 Questions from
ZombieGirl
of FetishPaysMe.com
1. How long have you been in the
adult industry?
ZombieGirl : It's 4 years now... so I still consider myself a newbie
compared to all the old schoolers.
2. Can you give our readers a little background about yourself. What did
you do before you got in this business?
ZombieGirl :
Well, I've done a lot of things;
I used to submit galleries, free sites, make directories, SEO, AVS sites,
TGP's & fake TGPs, just like general affiliate marketing stuff &
generating traffic all across the board. I have worked for others for
short periods, as a sales rep & affiliate manager/marketing; I took those
jobs to make contacts with more people in the industry & push myself to
become more social on the boards & during shows.
For my day job (which I quit in March 2004) I used to be an undercover
loss prevention officer, y'know, those guys that would bust shoplifters in
dept stores?? It was a lot more than that, we were in charge of internal
theft prevention, installing CCTV systems, implementing existing & new
security systems for the stores, educating sales staff members on our
policies. Pretty much if anything went wrong, like the elevator got stuck
or someone locked their keys in the counter, they're like "call Maja,
she'll know what to do!" It was a super fun job, I miss hanging out with
my coworkers and fucking the dog all the time... and I miss the fights &
chases, LOL.
3. How did your previous job/profession help you in what you do today?
ZombieGirl :
Uh, it didn't at all! My day job
as a store dick taught me how to deal with all types of people, think on
the spot, understand liability, write clear & concise police reports & how
to fight dirty. I guess those are all nice life skills to have.
4. What are your hobbies, when you aren't working online, what do you like
to do to unwind and have fun?
ZombieGirl:
I like skateboarding and
snowskating; I just started last year so I'm not that great but I try to
practice as much as I can. There's so much to do around the house, like
gardening, cleaning, cooking plus taking care of Chicklet the Wundertard
(my pomeranian) trickedtofuck.com Living at the lake
I do a lot of hiking, hanging at the beach & harrassing/spying on the
neighbors & other outdoorsy stuff. I try to read a lot, watch horror
movies & try to not get addicted to reality TV shows.
5. Can you tell us about your website – what it is and what
fetishpaysme.com offers?
ZombieGirl:
Well, I got bored of submitting
galleries & generating traffic for other programs so I decided to make
some pay sites in niches I was very familiar with & knew where the good
traffic is. I picked niches that I know very well & also knew that they
were very desperate for new & well done video sites.
ineed2pee is a female desperation & wetting video site, really
focusing on the "reality" aspect of it plus true desperation. It's the
only mega-girl wetting site filmed with North American women! I try to put
emphasis on good scenarios & good acting.
adultbabygirl is an AB/DL
(adult baby/diaper lover) site. What makes it stand out is the length of
the "reality style" videos compared to the other AB/DL sites who focus
more on pictures. And of course the acting of all the great models & the
kick ass props & clothing ( I sewed all the goddamn outfits myself!).
cameltoetease focuses on tight clothing, spandex & camel toes. A lot
of other "cameltoe" sites only have like five seconds of panty toe
followed by a hardcore scene & not all surfers are into hardcore all the
time. This site really is about the tease & the clothing worn.
6. How do you handle the processing portion of your site?
ZombieGirl: That's been tough, since they
deal with issues that a lot of CC processors aren't too cool with, like
age-play & pee. For instance, I can't use CCbill because they would want
the girls smiling as they were peeing their pants. I would not have nearly
as many members if I did that, since who the hell is smiling as they're
having a "real" accident in public?? A lot of processors have tightened up
content restrictions (especially with pee) & fortunately Verotel &
Paymonde aren't one of them. Verotel is EU based & can do SMS, Asian
cards, 1-900 which is great since 50% of my member base is NOT from North
America, so it's important to have billing solutions for them, Granted, I
would have more affiliates if I could use a bigger company but the great
thing is that I'm not dependant on affiliates to drive traffic to my
sites. I've got the most important, relevant traffic guys on board already
& the bottom line is... if you're into those fetishes, you're gonna find
me.
7. You have some pretty unique microniche sites, that are not all that
uncommon (as the industry changes almost hourly.) Where do you find models
for your sites?
ZombieGirl: Thanks for thinking their not
that uncommon... a lot of mainstream webmasters don't really get it, lol.
I shoot & edit everything myself since they are such specific niches & the
models must be prepped well to know what to do, what to say, how to say
it, etc. I shoot everything in Vancouver & I pretty much know almost
everyone in the "scene" there. Back in 2003 I started a local area
industry/ resource/gossip site
vancouverporn.com so that's a good
place to meet everyone. My sites don't involve hardcore & barely any
nudity so the models are happy to do something different like this. I've
encountered a couple who have difficulty peeing their pants, but for the
most part, they think it's so easy.
8. Where do you see the
fetishpaysme.com web site going next week, a year,
5+ years down the road from now?
ZombieGirl: I'd like to have at least a
couple more carefully chosen niche sites out. The existing sites pretty
much run themselves & it would be easy just to sit back, update regularly
& relax, but I don't want to fall into that rut again. I want to make the
existing sites more interactive with the models, since they are developing
such a solid fan base & I want to keep them recurring for years. Yes, the
retention has been great so far.
I really need to hire someone, because there is no way I can shoot, edit,
design, maintain it myself if I start more pay sites. I also do retail DVD
sales on the site & through a US distributor right now. I'd like to
further the tangible market globally (since the peeing/wetting fetish is
VERY big in EU & Japan) and also look for new ways to get the content out
there, via mobile, VOD, etc.
9. What is your favorite part about working in this business?
ZombieGirl:
The freedom to live where I want & to schedule my time as I wish,
which is priceless of course. All the friendships & innovative, smart
people I've met throughout the biz have also been invaluable. I love the
tight adult scene in Vancouver, BC & how everyone gets along for the most
part & going to conventions are always fun.
10. What is your least favorite part about working in this business?
ZombieGirl: Keeping yourself self
motivated to improve and expand is hard at times; you really gotta kick
yourself in the ass when you start to get lazy, otherwise nothing will get
done properly. It's way too easy to relax & stop moving forward, getting
stuck in a rut.
11. What would you say are the biggest obstacle(s) facing in the adult
industry today?
ZombieGirl: Other than what everyone is
complaining about with Bush and his Christian, right wing agenda? And
other than worrying about where Visa is wanting to take adult related
business in the future, due to real or perceived pressure from the right
wing, Christian fanatic government? Those are things that everyone is
worried about so I'm going to say the BIGGEST obstacle is the mainstream
media. That is the strongest influence on society as a whole today. MOST
people don't think & make decisions for themselves based on individual
encounters... They watch/listen to the media for education from day one as
a little kid & they are taught to do that. And when the mainstream media
shows "porn" & sex as seedy, unethical, dirty and they lump CP into
consenting adults videos. Fictional (and non-fiction) movies & TV shows
will always portray people in the adult industry as "bad," unmoral, taking
advantage of people or being taken advantage of, uneducated and seedy.
Those images brainwash people so when they hear "porn" they automatically
think CP, or something weird like that, which makes it so much easier for
them to follow when the government takes an active stand against the
industry. If North America was more sex-positive & taught that sexuality
is OK (like in EU & the UK) then standards would change... slowly.
12. Any new projects in the near future you would like to share with our
readers?
ZombieGirl: I'm already about 3 projects
behind. I'm still doing my SEO stuff & I'll be coming out with a few more
traffic generation sites (as an affiliate). I am planning a couple of gay
sites in the same niches soon, ever since the biggest gay peeing/wetting
site has closed it's doors, it's time for me to take over.
