1. How long have you
been in the adult industry?
Ivy: I found the internet and
started modeling in 2001
2. Can you give our readers a little background about yourself. What
did you do before you got in this business?
Ivy:
Well, believe it or not, I worked as an Office Manager for
several years.
3. How did your previous job/profession help you in what you do
today?
Ivy:
I'm sure that my site is so successful because of the skills
I bring into this business from my "real world" experience. I have a
degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Accounting,
so that goes to the behind the scenes work involved in running my
business. Through my previous jobs I also played a major role in
company promotions, etc, so of course I utilize that!
4. What is your daily routine - of and with the maintenance of your
website?
Ivy:
WOW...hehe...I don't think there is enough room on this page!
LOL I'm sure it's very boring to most, but I'll give ya the
shortened version! I wake up at 7AM most every morning and prepare
for site updates. I run an entire network of sites, so each day I
have at least 2 sites weekly updates to do. I prep videos and pics
for the web, masturbate while on cam with one of my members, reply
to emails, masturbate while on the phone with one of my members and
well...you get the point :-))
5. What is the most important thing you have learned over the years
in this industry?
Ivy: As a model, I'd say
learning to realize my value in this business and not open myself up
to shooting for content companies and others so my pics could be
spread all over the web. On the business end, I'd have to say
everything... I learned that I can only count on myself. There are
so many people out here ready to screw you over if you don't know
what you're doing, so I taught myself how to run my site from design
, to maintenance, promotion, etc.
6. Can you tell us about your website – what it is and what it
offers?
Ivy: PrivateIvy.com is my
Official Site, online since 2002. It's my place to share all my
naughtiest "Private" thoughts, pics, videos and more. I update my
site every single week, no fail, which is why currently I have over
10,000 pics and 100's of Videos. I also go Live each week for an
Hour with my members. I really enjoy "letting my hair down" and
getting to know my members. I'm very in touch with my sexuality, I
love to explore new things and I LOVE sharing that, In Private:)
7. What is your favorite part about working in this business?
Ivy: Being Xtremely naughty and
not apologizing for it !!
8. What are three things would you like to see changed (be it
positive or negative) in this industry, tomorrow, a week from now,
or a year down the road?
Ivy: I'd really like to see
better all around billing processors for adult sites, stricter
search engine rules for all the clowns that spam SE's with my name
and steal my traffic ( LOL), and greatest of all is someone to shut
down Acacia and put a hurting on Visa :)
9. If you were starting all over today, would you do anything
differently? And if so what would that be?
Ivy: Honestly, I would spend
more time submitting to magazines. I was never really focused on
getting published, and so to date I don't have any Major
publications to my name. By the time I got to thinking about being
published (now) I'm so busy running my business I don't have the
time to spend to do it.
10. What would you say are the biggest obstacle(s) facing in the
adult industry today?
Ivy: Original and unique
websites. Models that actually exist on their sites. The web is of
course oversaturated with content sites, and mostly with sites that
offer very poor amounts and quality of content once you pull out
your credit card. But of course, that's what makes single model
sites like my own, so appealing. I actually exist and interact with
my members. I do the site myself so it totally reflects my
personality.
11. Any new projects in the near future you would like to share with
our readers?
Ivy: Ahhhhh!! I always have
something up my sleeve.....hmmmm, well , maybe not up my sleeve
because I tend to spend most of my time Naked ! hehe But yes, I have
some small publications coming within the next 6 months and I have
2 more HOT model sites I'm currently designing that will be up and
running soon.
12. What is your number one secret for success?
Ivy: To be myself, nothing less
and nothing more. What you see is what you get, with me personally
on my site and in business.
